Where this applies
This record is scoped to Taiwan. Scope is part of the claim: a rule that binds one part of a country does not bind the whole of it, and this library states the scope its sources state.
Instrument
Act Governing Food Safety and Sanitation (official English translation), Art. 8, para. 3
Who it binds
Food business operators in a category and scale designated by public announcement
What it requires
A designated food business "may commence operations only after applying for registration" with the central, municipal or county competent authority. The companion Regulations Governing the Registration of Food Business Operators (Amendment Date 2026-01-05) name five registrable categories — manufacturing/processing, catering, import, retail, logistics — require changes to be filed within 30 days, and require an annual confirmation of registered information.
