SAC is Singapore's national accreditation body
The Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC) describes itself as "the national accreditation body," managed by Enterprise Singapore (itself a statutory board under the Enterprise Singapore Board Act 2018). SAC accredits testing and calibration laboratories, inspection bodies, certification bodies and proficiency-testing providers. No instrument equivalent to the UK's SI 2009/3155 — separately naming SAC as the sole legally-appointed accreditation body — was found this round.

SAC is a Global ACI Full Member
Singapore's entry in the Global ACI Full Members registry lists the Singapore Accreditation Council as its sole accreditation body. SAC's own page separately describes itself as a "pioneer member" of the ILAC and APAC mutual recognition arrangements, recognised worldwide by MRA members across 104 economies — a description carried over from before the 1 January 2026 transition to the single Global ACI MRA.

Consumer-product-safety regulation moved from Enterprise Singapore to CCCS
On 1 July 2025, the Consumer Product Safety Office (CPSO) and the Weights and Measures Office moved from Enterprise Singapore to the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (CCCS), which now administers the Consumer Protection (Trade Descriptions and Safety Requirements) Act 1975 and its regulations. CCCS states: "regulatory requirements, registrations, and certificates issued by the CPSO and WMO will remain valid and enforceable under CCCS's authority."

The Workplace Safety and Health Act covers almost all workplaces
The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) states: "The WSH Act covers the following: All workplaces, unless exempted." It binds employers, workplace occupiers, manufacturers and suppliers, employees, the self-employed, and platform operators and platform workers.
