What is this standard?
Specifies energy management system requirements. It is a generally applicable standard; what drives the recommendation is energy intensity.
Who is it for?
All sectors, with priority for energy-intensive manufacturing, hotels, shopping centres, hospitals, data centres, logistics and public facilities.
What triggers an assessment?
- Energy consumption and cost are at a measurable level.
- An energy performance target is being set.
- Regulation or a customer imposes an energy management requirement.
What does it not replace?
- It does not substitute for an energy performance certificate or an energy audit.
- It is not a renewable energy certificate.
