What is this standard?
Specifies indoor air quality management system requirements. Applicable to the indoor environments of all kinds of facilities, installations and buildings except those exclusively dedicated to industrial and/or agricultural activities, and to all kinds of occupants including regular users, clients and workers.
Who is it for?
Operators of offices, schools, hospitals, hotels, shopping centres, campuses and similar enclosed environments.
What triggers an assessment?
- Enclosed environments with dense occupancy are operated.
- There are indoor air quality complaints or health concerns.
- A tenant, corporate customer or public body wants indoor air quality assurance.
What does it not replace?
- Environments dedicated exclusively to industrial and agricultural activity are out of scope.
- It does not substitute for an occupational health and safety management system.
