In textiles and apparel, the candidate set depends on which stage of the supply chain you sit at — yarn, weaving or knitting, dyeing, garment-making — and which claim the brand or retailer names. The same request for a 'textile certificate' can point to a different scheme for different businesses: a harmful-substance test, a recycled-content claim, chemical input safety, and facility-level social compliance are four separate claims.
OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 is a harmful-substance test; GRS certifies recycled content (not to be confused with organic fibre or GOTS); bluesign focuses on chemical input and manufacturing process safety; WRAP is a facility-level social compliance programme. Which one is needed depends on the scheme the brand or retailer names.
WRAP both approves the facility audit and makes the certification decision. Unlike GOTS or GLOBALG.A.P., there is no external body that accredits WRAP — it self-accredits.
Any application or renewal planned for after that date should be checked against the bluepass transition timeline.

Better Work is a joint ILO–IFC program, not a certification: it assesses garment factories and offers advisory visits to improve working conditions.
ICS is a shared social-audit protocol for 70 multinational retailers and brands; its audits are, in the owner's own words, neither certificates nor labels.
