What is this programme?

The certificate is issued by a GOTS-approved independent certification body; on-site auditing is mandatory.

What triggers an assessment?
- An organic textile claim will be made on the product.
- A brand or retailer requires GOTS.
- A role is held in a production stage processing organic fibre.
What does it not replace?
- It is not the same as GRS/RCS (recycled content) or OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 (harmful substance testing); these are not interchangeable.
- It does not substitute for organic farming certification.
