What this library does

• Shows what a certificate is, who issues it, and how to verify it
• Separates certification, accreditation, permits and legal obligations — the same word can mean different things, and this library keeps them apart
• Ties every claim to a primary source and the date it was last checked against that source

What this library does not do

• Issue certificates — an independent certification body does that
• Sell consultancy or preparation services
• Publish anything that has not cleared verification against a primary source

How it is organised

Records are grouped four ways: by ISO standard, by certification scheme, by industry sector, and by jurisdiction. The same underlying record appears wherever it is relevant — a standard is never rewritten to fit a sector page, and a country record is never duplicated across countries it does not apply to.

A separate directory of accreditation bodies — the organisations that accredit the certification bodies which actually issue certificates — lets a reader verify a certificate through the official register in the country or bloc it was issued in, without this library ever needing to open an unverified country section to do it.

Who publishes this

Certifidex is published by FutureTechnologies, a sole proprietorship. This page keeps referring to "this library" in its own prose because that is the more useful description of what a reader is looking at, not because the publisher is unstated — full legal name, address, contact and registration status are on the Imprint page.

How this library makes money

This library is, and is intended to be, a commercial venture. At launch it carries no advertising, no analytics, and no paid placement of any kind — every record on the site is here because it cleared verification, not because anyone paid for it to appear. If advertising or paid listings are introduced later, they will be clearly labelled as such, and — this is the one commitment this page makes without qualification — a record's classification, its verification status, and the primary source behind it are never for sale.
