What it requires
Food premises owners must register through the Ministry of Health's FoSIM online system; registration is valid for 3 years and must be renewed at expiry, across four categories (P1 manufacturing, P2 catering, P3 restaurant/retail, P4 mobile food vendors). Operating unregistered carries, per the regulation as quoted on the Ministry's own page, a fine not exceeding RM10,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 2 years.
