What it requires
Equipment requiring certification must be certified by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) or a registered certifying agency — "an approval by a registered certifying agency shall be deemed to be an approval by the Commission" — via Compliance approval or Special approval (personal/trial/exhibition/R&D/education use). As published 21 August 2026, SIRIM QAS International Sdn Bhd (CA 0011) appears in MCMC's registered-certifying-agency list; this is not a claim that it is the only such agency.
