What it is

Constructionline describes itself as a buyer-accessed database, not a certificate: "Only registered buyers have access to the database via specifically allocated user names and passwords." Suppliers hold tiered membership — Bronze, Silver and Gold are all confirmed on Constructionline's own pages, and a Silver-tier page describes its content as building on Bronze: "Everything in our Bronze membership, plus verification for Corporate and Professional Standing, and Health and Safety."

Constructionline's own page names a relationship to SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement): "As a founding member of SSIP, Constructionline is audited every year by SSIP to ensure quality checks are up to standard." SSIP's own registered-members page instead records Constructionline as joining "in May 2009 as a Supporter Member." SSIP's forum-members page defines equivalence only for "Registered Members and Certification Body Members" under its Core Criteria — a category distinct from Supporter Member. Whether Constructionline's assessment currently sits inside SSIP's cross-scheme equivalence, or is a supporting relationship outside it, is not settled between these two primary sources.

Who owns it

Constructionline is the trading name of a group Constructionline's own site describes this way: "The acquired business will join Once For All, previously known as Fortius, (trading as \"Constructionline\") and Altius VA Limited as part of a group of companies serving the supply chain risk management industry."

Constructionline's Gold-tier page addresses main contractors and buyers assessing construction supply chain partners against pre-qualification standards such as the Common Assessment Standard; membership itself is held by suppliers seeking to demonstrate this to buyers.
