What it requires
Cap. 456 imposes a general statutory duty to ensure consumer goods are reasonably safe, enforced by the Customs and Excise Department, and requires bilingual (English and Chinese) safety warnings on the product, its packaging or an accompanying insert where applicable. This is not a formal pre-market registration or marking scheme.
