ISO 28001:2007

Supply Chain Security

For organisations in international supply chains preparing against AEO criteria.

ClassManagement system standard

Edition2007

What is this standard?

Provides requirements and guidance for organisations in international supply chains to develop and implement supply chain security processes, designed to assist in meeting the authorised economic operator (AEO) criteria under the World Customs Organization framework.

Who is it for?

Manufacturers, carriers, warehouses and intermediaries operating in international supply chains.

What triggers an assessment?

  • A security assessment is requested in the export or import chain.
  • You are preparing for authorised economic operator status.
  • A buyer wants a documented minimum security level along the chain.

What does it not replace?

  • It does not substitute for authorised economic operator status granted by the customs administration.
  • It does not replace ISO 28000; the two are assessed together.
