ISO/IEC 22237-1
ISO/IEC 22237-1 sets the general principles and classification system for data centers; the series' other parts are mostly withdrawn or still in draft. ISO's own catalogue page shows only Part 1 as a published International Standard — Part 2, 3, 4 and 6 are withdrawn, and Part 5 and 7 remain Technical Specifications.

What it is
ISO's own abstract for ISO/IEC 22237-1:2021 (iso.org/standard/78550.html), opened in a real browser on 2026-09-01, states, verbatim: "This document: a) describes the general principles for data centres upon which the requirements of the ISO/IEC22237 series are based; ... d) specifies a classification system, based upon the key criteria of 'availability', 'security' and 'energy-efficiency' over the planned lifetime of the data centre..."
The ISO/IEC 22237 series is not a single, uniformly-current document. The same catalogue page shows: Part 1 (General concepts) — published 2021, in force as an International Standard. Part 2 (Building construction), Part 3 (Power distribution), Part 4 (Environmental control) and Part 6 (Security systems) — all withdrawn. Part 5 (Telecommunications cabling infrastructure) and Part 7 (Management and operational information) — published 2018, but still at Technical Specification (TS) status, not full International Standard status. This record is limited to Part 1, the part confirmed to carry full published, in-force status; it does not assert the series as a whole is complete or in force.
