What this product is

ISO 9001:2015 addresses internal audit in clause 9.2, within clause 9 (Performance evaluation) of the standard's requirements. This kit is built for the people who have to make that happen in practice: it gives the internal audit a structure — a programme, a plan, a question bank, a report format and a follow-up loop — so the audit produces findings that can be acted on, not a pile of notes.

The design principle throughout is clause-agnostic: the kit gives you the method and the machinery, and you derive the audit questions from your own processes and your own licensed copy of the standard. The kit never carries requirement text, and it tells you not to paste any into it.

• It does not contain the text of ISO 9001. The standard is copyrighted; the kit refers to it by clause numbers and headings only. To derive your audit questions you need your own licensed copy, bought from ISO or your national standards body.

Dated verification, corrections and new editions

The guide's factual claims are dated in its sourced bibliography, and each file states the date its content was compiled. A downloaded file does not update itself — but if we find a factual error in it, we correct the file and make the corrected version available to existing buyers at no charge. A version rewritten for a new edition of the standard is a new product, not a free update.
