Workplace Conditions Assessment
WCA (Workplace Conditions Assessment) is Intertek's audit program that evaluates workplace conditions across supply chains — it is not a certificate. What it is
WCA (Workplace Conditions Assessment) is Intertek's program for evaluating and improving workplace conditions across supply chains. Intertek's own description, confirmed word-for-word on two independent pages: "Intertek's Workplace Conditions Assessment (WCA) is a comprehensive, risk-based program designed to help organizations evaluate and improve workplace conditions across their supply chains."
A separate Intertek description of the same program, from a 2021 announcement of an update to it: "WCA provides a powerful, risk-based solution for companies and suppliers seeking to improve transparency in supply chain and drive improvement in workplace conditions."
Intertek's pages describe WCA with the words "program," "assessment" and "audits" — never "certificate" or "certification." WCA is an audit/assessment program, not a certification scheme, and this page does not call it one.
